Today the Federal Government announced the future direction of the JobKeeper program beyond 27 September. The announcement is good news for our industry, hopefully it will continue to save livelihoods and local jobs.
JobKeeper will be extended until 28 March 2021.
There will be two levels of payment rates:
- From 28 September 2020 – 3 January 2021, fortnightly payments of $1200 (employees working less than 20 hours a week will receive $750).
- From 4 January 2021 – 28 March 2021, fortnightly payments of $1000 (employees working less than 20 hours a week will receive $650).
Your business will need to reapply for JobKeeper at the end of September 2020, and beginning of January 2021.
